Jean A. Mercier was a prolific poster artist who is known for fine film posters during the 1920s and '30s and several well-known images for the Transatlantique Company. This vintage poster was created by Mercier in 1940 and reads “Sports Work,” encouraging the health and fitness for children. It was published by the French Athleticism Federation, whose symbol is the three rings at the top center of the poster. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
