In this poster by Dam, we see a stylized composition in an interesting monochrome color palette of someone pedaling furiously on their Peugeot bicycle. In French, we are told "Peugeot runs well" - as the speed with which our central figure is moving is clearly proof.
Peugeot is a French automotive manufacturer that was founded in 1858. Like many car companies, Peugeot originally produced bicycles. The first car the company built was an unsuccessful steam tricycle. Peugeot has received many International awards for its vehicles and has been successfully involved in motor sport for over a century.
The Art Deco movement was an offshoot of the groundbreaking 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. Artists took inspiration from Russian, Persian and Oriental influences, as well as the streamlined stylings of Cubism.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
