This poster was used to encourage the public to make a last final effort and buy war bonds to ensure a quick and total victory. This poster shows a soldier returning home victorious and the graph on the right is meant to be filled in based on how much much an individual has been able to contribute. The eighth and final bond drive of WWII was known as the Victory War Loan Drive and it was held from late October through early December, 1945. The goal had been to raise 11 billion dollars, but over $21 billion ended up being raised.
Kenneth Fagg (1901-1980) was an American illustrator. He was mostly a commercial artist, who created a few other WWII posters.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and is in very good condition. There has been some minor restoration along the fold marks. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
