As part of America's World War I efforts, there was an ongoing effort to support troops overseas through production work at home. In this 1918 poster created by Spear, we see a campaign by the YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) to recruit men to help in the production of artillery and machinery. The poster specifically promotes the United War Work Campaign in its efforts from November 11-18, 1918.
This poster was created by Adrian Gil Spear (1885 - 1965), an American graphic artist of whom little is known. His son, also named Adrian Gil Spear is the better known of two. He worked for Ford and GM in the 1940s and designed many illustrations for both car companies.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
