This mid century poster was created for the Sonora Radio Company by French artist Haeck. In the center of the image, a brunette woman is observed smiling while flanked by Sonora branded radios, making it clear that Sonora is the best and only choice.

In 1908, the Sonora Chime Company in New York City patented its system of chiming bells to be put into its clocks and the company began using the motto "clear as a bell" for their products. This was just one of the major changes that the company would go under in years to come. As time progressed, the Sonora Company did its best to stay relevant in the market. The Sonora Chime Company was reincorporated as the Sonora Phonograph Company under founder George Brightson in 1913.

In 1923, Sonora phonographs were being sold in two stores in France. Nine years later, the company expanded to Europe and opened an affiliate branch in France in 1932. The French Sonora Company never exported any of their products to the United States.

By 1938, the Company, under the Articles of Incorporation, was re-established as the Sonora Radio and Television Corporation. The corporation dissolved in 1958.

Unfortunately, there is little information on Haeck, the artist of this poster.
