Winston Churchill was known for his clear and uplifting speeches that provided comfort and direction to both the British people and the free world during WWII. This c.1945 poster uses a quote taken from his December 26, 1941 "Masters of Our Fate" address to the US Congress. It is considered one of the best speeches of the twentieth century. This is quote is from the very end of his speech, in which he links 'majesty' (England) with 'justice' (America) in ally ship towards winning the war ('peace'). The speech was broadcast on radio and television, and all Americans would recognize the sentiment.

Winston Churchill (1874-1965) is one of the most renowned political figures of the 20th century. He served two terms as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1940-1945, and from 1951-1955. Churchill rallied the United Kingdom and the free world against the Axis powers during World War II, and then again opposed the "Iron Curtain" of the Soviet Union after the war.
