During WWII in America, all resources were directed to the war effort. Train lines were solely used to transport troops to training camps and to shuttle important supplies and materials across the country. This poster shows all the excuses everyday people would use to justify traveling, with a warning not to travel "unless your trip helps win the war". It is a charming image by an unknown artist.

This poster was printed by the The Office of Defense Transportation. The OWI was established in 1941 to coordinate and direct the utilization of domestic transportation facilities during the war, so that they were used to help the war efforts.

This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
