Etretat is a small community in the Haute Normandie region of France. It is situated on the North West coast of France and is best known for its cliffs, including three natural arches and the pointed "needle". It is fine tourist destination that features marvelous views of the Coast , great beaches, as well as the golf courses being promoted in this poster by the artist Andre Galland.
Artist André Galland (1886-1965) was a French Illustrator who also created earthenware, posters and lithographs which are now sought after by many collectors. Galland studied at the Rollin College of the Decorative Arts and Fine Arts in Paris and throughout his career, illustrated books for the youth in publications such as Offenstadt, Fillette, L’Epatant and L’intrepide.
He also worked for other newspapers such as Le Dimanche Illustré, The Beautiful Pictures, Le Petit Journal, Le Journal, Le Matin or Le Charivari (Wikipedia).
