This WWII poster was created by the Army Air Force and was used for training purposes. Printed just as the US entered the War, it details the safest way to land a hit plane in non-ideal settings. Pictured here is the A-20, one of the planes used most heavily by the US Air Force at the beginning of WWII.

Created for use as a small bomber and reconnaissance plane, the Douglas A-20 really made its mark in the Pacific Theatre. Bombings and crashes were very common in this area. Here we see one such crash, and the tips on how to best handle leaving the plane for safety. Given the extensive air battles at the beginning of the War, this training poster would have been studied intensely.

This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
