The artwork stresses the involvement of all members of the family and shows how everyone can participate in the war effort. The concept of food as a weapon was carried through in many similarly themed posters that demonstrated the conservation of home-grown and canned foods, the repurposing of leftovers, or the benefits of healthy eating.
