Ilya Grigorevitch Casnik was a Russian suprematist artist who worked in the early 20th century. Suprematism was an important artistic movement that focused on geometric shapes and lines. He was one of the main followers of Kazimir Malevich, who is considered the father of the movement. The word compozione means composition, as this design is about the balanced composition of the shapes. The original image was made by Casnik in 1923, and was later commemorated in 1989 with this poster by Seridok Prints.
