This poster was created to promote French travel to the Spanish city of Cordoba by artist Ricardo Anaya. A woman is dressed in a bright "traje de flamenca" while holding a decorative fan highlighting the architecture of the city, both hallmarks of traditional dress in this southern region of Spain. In her hair is a "peineta", which is a large decorative comb usually worn under a "mantila", or lace head covering.
The city of Cordoba was once a Roman citadel, which went on to become a major Muslim religious city during the Middle Ages. One of the most renowned sites in Cordoba is its La Mezquita mosque, which dates back to 784 AD and is highlighted in this poster as a "unique mosque".
Unfortunately, there is little known about the artist Ricardo Anaya although he did create several posters for Cordoba in the early 1960s.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
