This WWII poster is unique in its use of a monochromatic color palette. An image of a female office worker tending to her typewriter equipment is placed in front of a more simplistic rendering of a sniper in battle. The message here is that ensuring office materials on the Home Front last as long as possible will help keep factories focused on producing other, more vital war equipment for the men overseas.
Jon Whitcomb (1906 - 1988) was an American illustrator who created many images during WWII for the American government. He served in the Navy and was hired to depict active battle scenes in addition to his military service.
This is an Original Vintage Poster. It is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in very good condition. There has been some professional restoration along the fold marks in this poster. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
