This poster was created c1950 for the French company Favor, manufacturer of bicycles and motorcycles. Favor was founded in 1898 in Clemont-Ferrand, a French city in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region where the Michelin tire company is also based. Favor motorcycles were regularly ridden to victory in French national championships throughout the 1950s. The company closed in 1977. This charming image created by Bellenger shows a fun seeking woman riding her Favor motorcycle while putting on her lipstick. The message is that the ride of the motorcycle is both elegant and smooth. It has charm and a touch of whimsy.
