This original vintage poster was commissioned by the Olympic Organizing Committee to promote the Winter Olympic Games held in Lake Placid in 1980. The renowned American graphic artist, Dennis Wheeler, was commissioned to design the poster. This image features figure skater Linda Fratiani, who won three consecutive U.S. Championships and the silver medal in the 1980 games. That same year, the underdog American Hockey Team won the Olympic Gold Medal in the famed "Miracle on Ice."
