In America during WWII, every resource was poured into the war effort. With over 12 million Americans - 11% of the total population - serving in the armed forces, everything from food to labor was tight on the Home Front. This poster depicts a typical American "Victory Home" at the time, with the flag of an active service member and a bond drive poster both displayed in the front window. The text encourages the viewer to pitch in however they can at home, from volunteering to growing their own food, and buying war bonds.
