Roger Chapalet created this vintage travel poster for the Messageries Maritimes, which was a French merchant shipping company. It was the largest French fleet to carry passengers in the years between WWII and the rise of the international airlines. Though also the name of a country, "Laos" was an ocean liner in the company's fleet, built in 1954. It had two sister ships named "Cambodia" and "Vietnam." They had luxury first class cabins, tourist class rooms, and also carried cargo on their month-long voyages to Indo-China and the Far East, starting at Port Said, Egypt and traveling to Aden (or Djibouti), Bombay, Colombo, Singapore, Saigon, Hong Kong, Kobe (eastbound) and Yokohama.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
