Morgat was well known for its beautiful coastline and abundant fishing, depicted in this scenic poster using vibrant color and perspective. The text ‘La peche a la sardines' translates to ‘sardine fishing.' This little village was the perfect destination for tourists to come relax and unwind, by way of a scenic train ride. Chemin de Fer de Paris a Orleans was an early French railway company founded in 1838. This welcoming French travel poster is advertising a rail service departing from the village of Quimper and stopping in Morgat. The cove of Morgat, France opens to the west on the sea Iroise between Pointe du Raz and Cap de la Chevre.
This Original Vintage Poster was designed by ALO or Charles Halo (1884-1969). He was a French poster artist who created over 100 posters for the French National Railroad. He was well known for his ability to capture the mood of a town through his skilled use of color, depth, and perspective. This poster was printed by Lucien Serre & Cie, a house that often worked with ALO.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
