This striking original vintage poster was created by John Atherton Staehle (1906–1963) for the 1939 New York World’s Fair. The fair, held at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York, was one of the most ambitious international expositions of its time. With the theme *"The World of Tomorrow,"* the fair showcased futuristic technology, innovative design, and the promise of a modern, streamlined future. Staehle’s bold Art Deco composition prominently features the iconic Trylon and Perisphere, the central architectural symbols of the fair, evoking optimism and progress.
John Atherton Staehle was an American graphic artist known for his sleek, modernist style that captured the spirit of the early 20th century. His work often emphasized clean lines and strong geometric forms, making his designs highly impactful and memorable.
This is an Original Vintage Poster, it is not a reproduction. It is the largest of 3 sizes that were printed using the same image. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
