Pan Air Do Brasil - A Frota Bandeirante
Pan Air Do Brasil - A Frota Bandeirante
(75cm x 63cm)
Panair do Brasil began operations on October 22, 1929, as NYRBA do Brasil S.A., a Brazilian subsidiary of NYRBA, Inc. (New York, Rio, and Buenos Aires Line), forerunner of Pan American. Both airlines were established by Ralph Ambrose O'Neill for the transportation of post and passengers using seaplanes between the United States, Brazil and Argentina, flying over the east coast of the continent.
This poster is very much in the style of the planispheres created by Lucien Boucher for Air France. The image shows the origin of airline in Brazil and the many destinations that it reached at the time of this poster. It uses vignettes of local areas to convey a sense of the people at the destinations. Please note that the entire border of the poster is printed using gold metallic ink which is quite dramatic. That gold ink is much more even in tone than as visible in the photo.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

If there's anything you want to know about posters, vintage or more modern, there's nothing Mr Ross doesn't know. His open and friendly manner helps one to choose the most suitable material whether for decoration, investment or whatever... I can't recommend him highly enough.

Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.

The Ross Gallery has the best selection of vintage posters I have ever seen. Seriously, if you are in the market, they are the people. And, they know everything there is to know about the posters' provenance.
