Lac d’Annecy (Lake Annecy in English) is a bucolic area of the French Alps, near the Swiss border. For centuries it has been prized for its dramatic beauty, but surged in popularity in the early 1900s when the expansion of trains made it more accessible. This poster promotes exactly that; hop aboard a train and take the seven minute funicular from the station to the top of Mount Veyrier for vacation. The beauty of the Lake is on full display in this poster, with a dramatic sunset beginning to dip behind the peaks of the Alps. In the distance, Mont Blanc shows off its snowy peaks.
