July 14th is known as Bastille Day in France, the French Independence Day. This vintage poster from 1956 shows Parisian streets filled with the colors of the French flag in celebration of the holiday. This scene was created by artist Marcel Gromaire. It was published by the L'Office du Tourisme de France and printed by the lithographic print shop, Mourlot. Gromaire utilizes the Red, White, and Blue of the French flag to create the scene of celebration. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
