This vintage poster was commissioned by the Pennsylvania Rail Road (PRR) which was founded in 1846. The PRR was purchased in 1968 by a rival company and went through subsequent mergers and sell offs. Today, Amtrak owns major portions of the electrified tracks that were once owned by the company. With rail travel so popular in the 1950's it was natural for visitors to New York to use the Pennsylvania Railroad to see the Statue of Liberty and the many other sites in New York. This is a very rare poster featuring the Statue of Liberty. It was created by an anonymous artist.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
