
This image is the height of Art Nouveau styling. An elegant woman is draped in velvet, feathers, and flowers. Given the naturalistic background, it could be that she was meant to represent a nymph or fairy.
The artist Gaspar Camps (1874 -1942) was of Spanish origin, but spent most of his career in France. Camps was a painter, draftsman, illustrator, and poster designer who accepted the Art Nouveau movement that was in vogue in the late 19th Century.
