This bright poster encourages visitors from all over to experience the Midnight Sun in Northern Scandinavia. The image presents all the fun activities tourists and natives alike can enjoy during this time such as fishing, canoeing, skiing and sledding. The Midnight Sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs during the summer solstice, where the sun is visible for 24 hours of the day. Countries that experience the Midnight Sun are those that cross the Arctic Circle such as Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Russia. The Top of Europe poster was published by the Finnish Tourist Association in Helsinfors, the Norway Travel Association in Narvik, the Tourist Society of Norrbotten in Lulea and the Swedish Tourist Traffic Association.
Unfortunately, there is little information on the artists of this poster, Bengt Lundstrom and Anders Beckman.
