CGT- Lignes Des Antilles is a circa 1950 French ocean line travel poster by Edward Collin. Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (CGT) was commonly called "The French Line" abroad. Collin was commissioned to paint a number of travel posters for CGT. The image advertises the SS Colombie with travel to the West Indies. Collin depicts the great ocean liner framed by the tall thin trees of the exotic forest. A playful scene of natives in colorful dress welcomes the ship to harbor.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
