This cute and spunky poster was created during WWII to entice young men to enlist in the U.S. Air Force. While the draft was in strong swing in 1944, there were still recruitment efforts to encourage as many able-bodied soldiers to be a part of the War Effort.
Stanley Ekman (1913-1998) was an American illustrator and painter. He began his career in the 1930's after attending the Art Institute of Chicago. He designed the logo for American Airlines, and was an active illustrator for major magazines including the Saturday Evening Post. He was versatile as an illustrator and created artworks in the realist style of Norman Rockwell, as well as a cartoon inspired style indicative of mid-century advertising.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
