The United States Marine Corps is an elite division of the U.S. Navy that was founded in 1775 during the American Revolution. Marines are known for being physically and mentally tough, and are often the first troops to enter into a military exercise, ahead of the general troops on both sea and land. This dynamic poster, in an unusual color palette, shows a battalion of Marines storming a beach, as their air force counterparts arrive as backup.

Although we weren't able to find much biographical information on the artist Vic Guinness, we know that he was an active service member of the USMC and created several WWII posters for the Marines.
