Nike Park was an area set up around the Stade De France on the outskirts of Paris during the time of the World Cup Soccer ( Football) of 1998 in the area of Saint Denis. Open to all young people in the form of a dozen fun workshops to sensitize them to the learning of technical gestures articulated on four themes: speed, precision, control and reflex. France hosted this 16th FIFA World Cup for men which was held from June 10 – July 12,1998. The tournament was won by France, who beat defending champions Brazil 3–0 in the final.
The main venue was the Stade de France which was built specifically to host this event as it held 80,000 people. The Nike Company created 4 different poster designs to promote their participation and this is one of that group, designed by Johan Otto Sprekelesen (1929 – 1987). He was a Danish architect who was well known for designing the Grande Arche of La Defense in Puteaux, near Paris.
