A couple chase the sunset on their Peugeot bicycles in this charming Belle Epoque poster by Almery Lobel-Riche. They outpace a steam train, which was considered the cutting edge in transportation at the time.
Peugeot is a French automotive manufacturer that was founded in 1858. The first car the company built was an unsuccessful steam tricycle. Peugeot has received many International awards for its vehicles and has been successfully involved in motor sport for over a century.
Almery Lobel-Riche (1880-1950) was a Swiss-born painter, illustrator, and engraver who worked in France for most of his life. Many of his works feature women and focus on their sensuality in the modern city life of Paris. He illustrated many works of Baudelaire, Verlaine, Maupassant and Flaubert.
This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition.
We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.

What Does 'Original' Mean?
We only deal in original vintage posters, never reproductions. This means that every poster is from the original print run, in the year listed in the description. Everything we sell comes with an individually signed certificate of authenticity, which we fully guarantee.
