Prunier

This large-format original vintage poster was created circa1928 by Pierre Falize for Prunier, the celebrated Paris restaurant specializing in oysters, seafood and caviar. The whimsical design features a Prunier chef striding through the water carrying an enormous fish, while an oyster shell and a basket marked “Huîtres” balance above him. The words “Marée” and “Cuisine” emphasize Prunier’s reputation for fresh seafood and fine cooking, while “Livre Vite et Bien” (“Delivers Quickly and Well”) promotes the restaurant’s delivery service.Founded in Paris in 1872 by Alfred Prunier, Prunier became one of France’s most famous seafood restaurants.
