This is a large size poster for Reard of California. "The first bathing suit of the world, for all the biggest stars of the world". Louis Reard and Jacques Heim, a couturier designer from Cannes, invented the two piece bathing suit. After the atomic bomb testing in 1946 on the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, Reard named this fashion bomb "The Bikini, smaller than the smallest bathing suit in the world". This invention made a big scandal and was forbidden in many cities until the end of the sixties. "Reard of California" become a trade mark of a sexy bathing suit, as seen in this poster.
