The Rochers de Naye are mountains located in the Swiss Alps which overlook Lake Geneva near Montreux and Villeneuve, in the canton of Vaud. They lie on the range separating the basin of Lake Geneva from the valley of the Sarine, on the watershed between the Rhone and the Rhine. The Rochers de Naye are easily accessible from Montreux, where the highest railway in the canton, the Montreux-Glion-Rochers-de-Naye, starts. From the summit station (6,457 ft), only a short walk is necessary to reach the summit.

In this image by Emil Muller, we see the beauty of a mountain at twilight, surrounded in warm hues of yellow, pink and indigo. The views of the lake below only further the sense of tranquility one gets from being in this locale. This beautiful imagery was designed to allure visitors to the region via the Swiss rail lines.

Emil Muller (1892-1932) was a Swiss contemporary style painter. Unfortunately, there is little information on this artist.

  • If there's anything you want to know about posters, vintage or more modern, there's nothing Mr Ross doesn't know. His open and friendly manner helps one to choose the most suitable material whether for decoration, investment or whatever... I can't recommend him highly enough.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for the poster. You sent it on Thursday and it was delivered the following Monday (nearly quicker than it took us to get home) to our house in Perth, Australia. We have just had it framed. We love it; it goes perfectly with the room.

  • The Ross Gallery has the best selection of vintage posters I have ever seen. Seriously, if you are in the market, they are the people. And, they know everything there is to know about the posters' provenance.
