This vintage travel poster shows a slice of the good life at a French spa retreat in Vichy, "the queen of thermal spas." Roger Soubie chose to portray the town's golf scene with an array of fashionably dressed golfers. The backdrop is the picturesque hills of Massif Central mountain range and the L'Allier River.

Roger Soubie (1898 - 1984) was a French illustrator and poster artist. At the start of his career, Soubie illustrated many magazine covers and completed many posters advertising tourism, car manufacturers and railway companies. Soubie is best known for his prolific creation of French movie posters throughout his career. Soubie created posters for films such as Lolita, Hatari, and Ben-Hur.
