This is regarded as one of the best Spanish Art Deco posters created. It embraces the influence of Cubist elements in the foreground, blending with a more illustrative landscape in the background. The elegance and luxury of the Basque seaside town of Bilbao is on full display here. This is the French version of this poster.
The Art Deco movement was an offshoot of the groundbreaking 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. Artists took inspiration from Russian, Persian and Oriental influences, as well as the streamlined stylings of Cubism.
